Issues at Stormont

Roy Beggs Jnr MLA is your local voice at Stormont, when the assembly is back in session on the 7th September, Roy will update you on the Issues that he is involved with at Stormont.

At the Northern Ireland Assembly, Roy Beggs MLA is an Ulster Unionist Party member who sits on the Environment committee, the Public Accounts committee and the Children and Young People committee.

He actively takes part in debates in the assembly and regularly fields written and oral questions on topics related to his committees to the Ministers.

With his role on the Environment Committee , Roy has attended conferences in mainland Europe and through-out the British Isles on issues such as climate change and sustainability. Roy actively attends events through Stormont that support oranisations such as the RSPB and WWF, and in his constituency Roy is a member of the Surestart executive in Sunnylands. Surestart is a group that was set up to help children in deprived areas.
